The draw for the group phase of TOTAL ENERGIES CAF CUP took place yesterday at the headquarters of the African confederation.

CS Sfaxien will face Pyramids FC of Egypt, Zambian club Zanaco FC and Alahly Tripoli of Libya.

History of confrontations

CS Sfaxien / Zanaco FC

The two sides have not seen any confrontation since September 2010, in the framework of the Confederation Cup, when the Zambians led the scoring in the first leg 1/0 in Zambia before CS Sfaxien won 2 / 1 at Taieb Mhiri stadium, two weeks later.

CS Sfaxien / Alahly Tripoli

The same competition opposed the two clubs in 2010. CS Sfaxien eliminated Alahly Tripoli from the 1 / 16th round by conceding a draw in Tripoli (0-0) and by beating the Libyans 1-0 at the Taieb Mhiri stadium thanks to the Ghanaian Maman Youssoufou's goal in the 29th minute.

CS Sfaxien / Pyramids FC

For the first time in their history, CS Sfaxien and Pyramids FC will compete in the African Confederation Cup.

The latter, founded in 2008, is looking to register another remarkable participation after being a finalist in 2020, knowing that he will face Arab Juventus who, in 2008, have already won their third CAF Cup trophy.
